It’s been a few days since the party was wrapped up, and we’ve had time to let things sink in. In short, we would like to describe Solskogen 2010 as a big success, and here is why:
A total of 113 registered attendees
Minimal delays (just over an hour between saturday BBQ and the compos)
Smashing concert by MagFunction – lights, sound, people dancing!
More than acceptable weather
SceneSat coverage / impromptu Ustream video
Kick-ass soccer compo
Very good compos overall – graphics compos shine as usual
People seemed to enjoy themselves immensely!
No belt-fights
In fact, all feedback we have gottent so far is overwhelmingly positive, which is a heartwarming thing for any party organizer. We would like to thank all of you for coming and for making it a Solskogen that will go down in history as the biggest (and best!) demo scene-event in Norway, if not Scandinavia.

Update: no more pre-orders! Pre-ordering ends tomorrow morning, so today is the last chance for you to order your Solskogen 2010 ticket at the pre-ordering price of 250,- NOK. After this, you’ll have to pay 300,- at the door when showing up for the party.
It is also your last chance to order a Solskogen 2010 t-shirt and a food ticket for the friday dinner. These two items will not be available for sale during the event! If you don’t preorder them, you won’t get them. We only order the t-shirts people actually order, and the friday dinner will be planned for the amount of people who order their food tickets in advance.
MagFunction (aka Kaktusen / PlayPsyCo) will play a live-set at Solskogen 2010. It will be hard, it will be loud, it will be fun and it will be all for you – the happy attendees of our excellent demoparty this summer.

Ziphoid of SceneSat-fame will broadcast live from Solskogen this year. His always-entertaining show features demoscene music, interviews, competitions and all sorts of fun, bundled into one friendly package.
If you are unable to make it to the event — rest assured, you will be entertained anyway! (though, nothing beats the real thing, so grab those tickets now!)
Yay social media! If you are a Facebook or Twitter user, you can hook up with us (no, not like that) by using the neat widgets on the right there. We’re going social because it makes sense when spreading information about the party (as well as during the party – yay Twitter!) but also because we are a social party and it just makes sense. :) Now – mark those dates in your calendar: July 16th to 18th 2010!
PS! Yes, we will allow people travelling from abroad or a long way off to arrive on thursday the 15th, like last year. There you go Puryx, it’s official!
If you’re going to the Norwegian computer-party The Gathering this week (in fact, it begins tomorrow!) and are competing in one of the many creative competitions, you have a chance to grab a few tickets to Solskogen 2010. The Creativia-team at The Gathering are handing out a number of tickets to TG creative competition winners and other exceptional beings, as a part of their ongoing efforts to increase focus on the demoscene and creative events and professions.

Solskogen 2010 has a date! On the 16th to the 18th of July, 2010, it is time to return to wonderful Ås in Norway for Solskogen 2010, the 7th Solskogen in scene history. More info will be available soon, but book the date now, because this is the definite scandinavian demoscene summer experience!
Oh, and we’ll have an additional announcement shortly, regarding a sister-event (!) of Solskogen. Stay tuned!
PS! Please keep in mind that our webpages are in a state of flux right now, so things like ticket prices, attendees and party features need to be updated properly. The only things you should see as final are the posts updated with “2010″ in them. :)
Unfortunately, a few people who had pre-ordered their t-shirts didn’t get them at the party because of a mixup at the printers. We are still waiting for replacement t-shirts from them and will ship them to the adresses collected during the party. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience!
